THE FEASIBILITY OF USING FERTILIZERS FOR POTATOES ON LEACHED CHERNOZEMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH OSSETIA-ALANIA
In a continuance stationary field experiment established in 1971 on the experimental plot of the Department of Agrochemistry in the educational and experimental farm of the Gorsky State Agrarian University various fertilization systems in field crop rotation, including potatoes along with the main field crops, were studied. Based on the yield data of the potato experiment, the payback of fertilizers by additional yield, the economic efficiency of fertilizers in monetary terms and the energy efficiency in the form of a bioenergy coefficient (BEC) were calculated. According to these indicators, the option of applying mineral fertilizers in doses insufficient to the level of N80P80K80 against the background of the aftereffect of 30 t/ha of manure showed an advantage. According to this option, the payback of fertilizers was 83.8 kg of tubers for each kg of active ingredient expended. Of the three NPK doses, the best in this indicator was the double dose of N80P80K80 - a payback of 42.5 kg/kg. The payback period for the N110P95K75 calculation option was quite high (47.1 kg/kg). The conditionally net income was the highest for the calculation option – 109,666 rubles/ha, however, the profit for each ruble spent was 4.91 rubles/ruble, while for manure + NPK - 9.53 rubles/ruble. The least effective was a triple dose of NPK (2.78 rubles/ruble). In terms of energy efficiency, the Manure + NPK option had an advantage – 6.71 units, the calculation option is in second place – 4.26 units. As a result, it is most advisable to apply manure 30 t/ha under potatoes in combination with mineral fertilizers equivalent to a double dose of N80P80K80, the calculation option is in second place.
