SOLAR PV-POWERED DRYERS IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE PROCESSING FOR SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

This research investigates how agricultural produce processing using solar PV-powered dryers can promote sustainable rural development in the People's Republic of China. These dryers reduce post-harvest losses and promote environmental sustainability by improving the effectiveness and quality of agricultural product preservation through the use of renewable energy. Significant financial gains may be made thanks to the technology, which gives farmers access to new markets and raises their revenue while boosting local economies by generating jobs. The viability and advantages of solar PV-powered dryers are improved by technological breakthroughs, supporting legislation, and extensive training programmes, even in the face of obstacles like upfront costs and the need for technical expertise. All things considered, their broad acceptance may greatly support food security, rural development, and sustainable agriculture practices in China. Keywords: Solar-PV dryers; Photovoltaic (PV); P.R. Abstract
