THEMES OF ART AND COGNITION IN I. KALASHNIKOV’S NOVEL «CRUEL AGE»

The article considers the themes of art and cognition in I. Kalashnikov’s nov-el «Cruel age». The specifics of these subsystems of culture is revealed, their cre-ative nature is shown. The writer vividly reproduced many aspects of art. The theme of cognition is personified by portraying the attitude of Temudzhin and Dzhuchi to it. The author’s idea is convincingly expressed: art and cognition are the most valuable assets of human culture, and the works, created by masters and scientists, are the embodiment of their enormous labor, talent and genius.
