Mô phỏng số ảnh hưởng của vật liệu kỹ thuật gốc xi măng (ECC) lên ứng xử chịu uốn của dầm bê tông cốt thép
Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) is an advanced cement-based material that has been applying extensively in various structural components, ranging from buildings to bridges/dams and so on. Superior tensile strain capacity that ECC possess can help reduce crack opening and crack width in structures, subsequently eliminating the penetration of environmental agents into the structure. As a results, this could increase the durability and longevity of the structures, particularly structures subjected to bending like reinforced concrete (RC) beam. As the beam is normally subjected to bending load, in which the bottom layer of the beam is subjected to tensile stress; therefore, the replacement of concrete which is weak in resisting tensile load by ECC is reasonably demanded. However, there is a few studies conducted to investigate the structural behaviour of ECC beam. In this paper, by developing a numerical model and then validating it with experiment reported in the literature, the authors have investigated the effects of ECC as well as the arrangement of different material layers on the bending behaviour of the beam including strength capacity and load-displacement relationship. The numerical results showed that ECC beam exhibited higher flexural capacity but less ductility than those of the RC counterpart.
