The article defines the concepts of external (bodily) and internal (mental) nakedness of a person, both literally and figuratively. Analyzing the content and direction of the development of modern cultural processes, the author comes to the conclusion that a modern person loses cultural “clothes” in the form of norms, customs, traditions, becoming more and more culturally naked. A naked man appears as a Prodigal Son, losing both his heavenly and earthly homeland. As a result of these losses, a “hole” is formed in his soul, the size of the past, “the size of God”. A spiritual person turns into a mental person who loses metaphysical attire, aimed at building only adaptive relations with both natural and social reality. A naked person enters into a functionally expedient relationship with the world, in which the intermediary in the form of a myth, symbol, magic disappears. He makes his living space similar to himself, exposing it. Having destroyed the walls of the mytho-religious House, he was left alone with the absurdity, injustice, cynicism and aggressiveness of the world. Having turned from a “symbolic animal” into a naked animal, having lost the protective covers of traditional culture, a person remains alone with the absurdity of the world, its aggression, cruelty and injustice, alone with physical and spiritual death. The direction of the ongoing changes is set by the intellectual elite that has come to power, focusing only on benefit, economic efficiency and profit. The unfolding information processes make a person unprotected, depriving him of personal space. A naked man is a man without morals. Instead of the pre-moral world of nature, man creates the immoral world of the technosocium. The immoral technosocium does not need a moral person. The modern “hero” even begins to flaunt his cultural nakedness, demonstratively exposing it for show. A culturally naked person loses his cultural identity, turning into a naked algorithm of thoughts and actions, as a result, not only depersonalizing, but also dehumanizing. There are grounds to argue that nudity becomes the modus vivendi of modern man.
