ANALYSIS OF MANAGEMENT DIMENSIONS IN THE NOVEL ANUGERAH BY ZAHARAH NAWAWI

This study examines the latest approach in the field of Malaysian literature known as management in literature. The novel Anugerah by Zaharah Nawawi was chosen as the source of the study because it depicts the culture and customs of Malaya which look down on women's involvement in social and political activities. The female characters in this novel are presented as resilient and intelligent individuals who face various challenges including family conflicts as a result of their struggles. The identification of the dimensions of organizational management in this novel is explained based on Fayol's Principles of Management (2013). These principles encompass fourteen important principles in organizational management. This study aims to analyze the organizational management dimension and to identify the themes for the organizational management dimension in the novel Anugerah by Zaharah Nawawi which contains 1351 pages. Several selected events are analyzed to show the application of management principles, especially in the planning aspect. The planning stage in this novel involves setting objectives, planning strategies, selecting alternatives and evaluating various issues. This study uses qualitative methods through literature review and text analysis. The study findings prove that the application of the management dimension can enrich literary analysis and make people aware of the importance of management in life. This approach not only makes literature more relevant but also emphasizes the value of management in shaping a more organized life.
