Metallographic studies of samples with coatings based on electroerosive dispersed powders
One of the most energy-efficient methods for producing metal powders from waste from mechanical engineering production is electrical discharge dispersion (EDD). The work of the Nano-Center of the FSBSI FNATS VIM is aimed at producing coatings based on electroerosive dispersed powders and studying their structure and properties. These coatings are a promising class of materials and have applications in various fields, including civil engineering, industry and agriculture. The main goal of the work is to study the structure and physical and mechanical properties of composite metal coatings based on electroerosive dispersed powders. During the study, metallographic equipment, instruments for measuring microhardness and other analysis methods were used. The coated samples were prepared by applying standard materials and electrical discharge dispersed powders to the substrate. Research has shown that coatings based on electroerosive dispersed powders have a complex multilayer structure with various microstructural features, such as crystals, cracks and foreign inclusions. The presence of various phases and elements was confirmed. The study of the samples included the study of microstructure, mechanical properties, thickness and hardness of coatings. The conducted research is important for further optimization of the conditions for the production and use of coatings based on electroerosive dispersed powders in various fields of industry and technology. The coatings have potential for use in a variety of applications requiring increased wear resistance and anti-corrosion properties. However, further research is necessary to determine the optimal conditions for the production and application of these coatings.
