Assessment of quality of ion-plasma coatings on hollow products obtained by pressure working
The paper presents a methodology for evaluating the quality of ion-plasma coatings on hollow products obtained by pressure treatment. Known methods for determining the properties of coatings on simple witness samples do not ensure their compliance with real hollow products in terms of stress-strain and physico-mechanical state of the surface before applying ion-plasma coatings. Accordingly, this reduces the accuracy (reliability) of determining the quality parameters of these coatings. According to the presented methodology, the witness sample is subjected to precipitation according to the stress-strain state scheme a similar to those in which a hollow product is obtained before surface preparation and coating.
