Characteristics of the modern Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) fishery and processing technologies. Russian prospects for the development and use of krill resources

The authors consider the state of the modern krill fishery and krill processing technologies, theire trends in the CCAMLR Convention Area, including the spatial-temporal dynamics of catch and fishery indices, issues of onboard and shore processing technologies of krill. The prospects for the development of the Russian krill fishery with the expansion of fishery capacities are discussed, with special attention to the priority areas of development and use of krill resources, issues of creating a Competence Center for the industrial development of krill resources based on the Atlantic branch of the VNIRO (AtlantNIRO).
