AI and Block Chain Technology as a Catalyst for Cybersecurity Transformation in the Insurance Sector: Prospects, Obstacles, and Potential Directions
The study explores how integrating AI and blockchain technologies in the insurance sector's cybersecurity frameworks can enhance data security, improve fraud detection, and increase operational transparency to boost stakeholder confidence. It illustrates with examples how blockchain's cryptographic immutability and AI's advanced analytical capabilities have successfully enhanced fraud detection, ensured data integrity, and increased operational transparency in cybersecurity frameworks within the insurance sector. The study utilizes survey data collected from 347 insurance professionals to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the factors influencing the adoption of AI and blockchain technologies. Statistical analyses reveal issues like flexibility, regulatory compliance, and integration with legacy systems, but also reveal connections between professions, agency types, and expertise. Despite these challenges, the results emphasize the significant potential for AI and blockchain to revolutionize cybersecurity practices within the insurance industry. To address adoption hurdles, foster innovation, and ensure long-term technological resilience in the sector, the research offers actionable insights and forward-looking perspectives.
