An Empirical Study on Knowledge-Sharing Practices among Healthcare Professionals
Knowledge-sharing is critical for ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient healthcare operations. This study explores the knowledge-sharing practices among healthcare professionals in Trichy, India. Using an online questionnaire, data were collected from 196 participants, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. Structural equation modelling was employed to validate the relationships between individual, organizational, and technological factors influencing knowledge-sharing. The findings reveal that individual factors, such as trust and willingness, organizational culture, and the adoption of healthcare technologies, significantly impact knowledge-sharing. The study underscores the importance of fostering a collaborative environment to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. These results provide actionable insights for healthcare institutions aiming to develop robust knowledge-management frameworks.
