Digital transformation is reshaping business operations globally, compelling organizations to integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, automation, and blockchain to remain competitive. However, the transition is fraught with challenges that can impede successful implementation. The research explores the primary obstacles modern managers face, including technological adaptation, workforce upskilling, cybersecurity risks, resistance to change, financial constraints, and regulatory compliance. The study employs a systematic literature review and case study analysis to examine best practices for overcoming these challenges in diverse business environments.A major barrier in digital transformation is the complexity of selecting, integrating, and scaling digital technologies while ensuring their alignment with business objectives. Many organizations lack structured digital transformation strategies, leading to inefficient adoption and underutilization of advanced tools.Additionally, workforce readiness remains a critical factor, as digitalization necessitates continuous learning, reskilling, and adaptation to evolving technologies.Resistance to change, driven by concerns about job displacement and process disruptions, further complicates digital adoption.Cybersecurity threats have intensified as companies transition to digital platforms, increasing exposure to data breaches, ransomware, and regulatory fines. Moreover, financial constraints hinder transformation efforts, as organizations struggle to justify substantial upfront investments without clear and measurable returns on investment. The findings of this study highlight actionable strategies, including phased technology adoption, tailored training programs, proactive change management, and structured investment planning, to enhance the success of digital transformation.
