The Enlightenment of Japan’s Nuclear Safety Regulatory System to China’s Nuclear Safety Regulatory Construction

At present our country is moving from the nuclear power to the powerful nuclear power, the nuclear energy in our country the proportion of energy consumption has increased year by year, nuclear energy has been getting popular in various industries. Effective regulation of nuclear energy can ensure the safe, healthy and sustainable development of nuclear energy. This paper reviews the relevant systems and policies of Japan’s nuclear safety supervision, and finds that Japan’s nuclear safety supervision system has changed significantly before and after the Fukushima nuclear accident. As a comparative analysis, the current situation and challenges of China’s nuclear safety supervision system are analyzed. This paper tries to put forward some constructive plans for China’s nuclear safety supervision from the aspects of top-level policy design, regulatory standards, collaborative training of talents and public communication.
