Incidence of Seasonal Precipitation on Corn Production and Some Resilient Strategies in Touboro (North Cameroon) of 2002- 2022

This research aims to establish a link between rainfall variability and corn production in the Touboro district between 2002 and 2022.The objective of this work is to offer resilient solutions in the face of the harmful consequences of fluctuations in precipitation. To carry out our reflection, we have combined not only the descents on the ground, make use of several variants such as: normal, scales (sequential, decennial and fiveyear), standard deviations, clues of rain but also we opted for a much more hypothetical-deductive technique. Thanks to these different approaches, the analyzes reveal that: precipitation is characterized by fluctuations in which deficits and pluviometric excess.Despite the rainfall oscillations, seasonal and annual precipitation is more at least constant.Pluviometric anomalies affect agricultural activities to cause the production of corn production. Thus, precipitation turns out to be one of the key factors in the corn production process. To this essential variable is added other elements that can influence production, namely: temperature, wind, soil, cultivation techniques, quality of seed etc.Faced with these multiple problems such as rainfall deficit, the proliferation of pilgrim locusts, crop floods, soil infertility, peasants have implemented some adaptation techniques, namely: fertilizer intensification, Date dispersion of sowing, the Polyculture and the market garden.Despite these strategies, farmers have trouble adapting truly to rainfall variability. For this purpose, it is imperative to multiply strategies, to strengthen resilient capacities to activities in order to reduce the impact of climate change guaranteeing sustainable and less vulnerable culture. To this end, we must promote the association both researchers, agronomist engineers, peasants, state authorities and non -governmental organizations (NGOs).
