Analyzing Gender Dynamics in ChatGPT Advantage: An Automated Real-Time Dashboard
ChatGPT utilization is becoming a popular Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool in academics. Keeping the advantages of it, the present study developed an automated gender impact detection dashboard towards the advantage of ChatGPT among informatics students. Two sample independent statistical t-test with a 0.05 level of significance proved that the girl students found more favorable or agreed with the advantage of ChatGPT in education as compared to the boy students (p < 0.05). Sample Gender-58, a major significant difference has been observed between these two groups (µ girl (3.99) > µ boy (3.63)), and a significance difference was also observed in other sample Gender-78 (µ girl (3.94) > µ boy (3.69)). The t-statistic value of -2.69 also confirmed that the mean of the boy students was lower than the mean of the girl students. The closer value of the power of the test is 0.753 to the desired threshold of 0.8, which suggests that there is a high chance of detecting a real difference between the mindsets of girls and boys regarding ChatGPT advantage. The Cohen’s d value is 0.707, which is a measure of the medium-to-large effect size. It proved the difference between the two categories is moderately large in relation to the variability within them. Also, the Bayes Factor (BF10) is 4.97 favoring the alternative hypothesis selection. With 95% confidence, the true difference in means between the two groups lies between -0.63 and -0.09. Since the confidence interval does not include 0, it reinforces the conclusion that there is a significant difference between the boy and girl students in information education.
