Multi-beam Line Measurement Problem Based on Objective Optimization
Multibeam bathymetric system is a kind of advanced sonar system, compared with single-beam bathymetric system to measure the seabed bathymetry, it is able to measure the full-coverage bathymetry strips with a certain width in the axis of the survey line of the survey ship. In this paper, we firstly consider the situation that the survey line is parallel to the ideal slope seabed, and draw the cross-section of the scanning beam plane, and establish the mathematical model of the coverage width of multibeam bathymetry and the overlap rate between neighboring strips according to the given data such as the angle of the slope and the angle of the opening. Then, according to the triangle edge-angle relationship and the sine theorem, the seawater depth, the coverage width and the overlap rate with the previous line are calculated respectively by the change of the distance of the line from the center point. Finally, the results show that as the distance of the line from the center point increases, the depth of the sea water and the width of the strip coverage decreases, and the overlap rate with the previous line decreases to a negative value, i.e., leakage occurs.
