Fishing Boat Monitoring System based on Beidou Short Message and 5G Network
This study presents an advanced vessel remote monitoring system that integrates Beidou Short Message Service (SMS) and 5G network technologies to address the complexities of the marine ecosystem and the need for sophisticated communication in fishery regulation and safety. The system is designed with a robust architecture that includes modules for precise vessel positioning, real-time environmental monitoring—critical for assessing marine ecological states—and comprehensive vessel status assessment. Leveraging cutting-edge sensors and data processing algorithms, the system is capable of rapidly detecting anomalies and issuing alerts. It is particularly effective in notifying authorities and crews during changes in sea conditions or equipment failures. In fishery management, it ensures accurate fishing quota control through continuous vessel data monitoring. For search and rescue operations, the system utilizes Beidou SMS to transmit distress signals in remote areas, while 5G offers detailed vessel information to expedite rescue efforts. The integrated system marks a significant advancement in the digitalization of the fishery sector. It enhances intelligent management of fishery activities, secures maritime operations, and fosters the sustainable use of marine resources. This represents a transformative solution that addresses the dual challenges of industry progression and ecological sustainability within the modern fishery context.
