TRIPLE-BAND NOTCHED UWB ANTENNA FOR SHORT-DISTANCE HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
This paper describes a new ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna design with an impedance bandwidth of 3.4 to 13.8 GHz with triple-band characteristics. The proposed antenna consists of a partially grounded ground plane, a trimmed square patch, and a 50 Ω microstrip line. In order to produce notched bands, five distinct kinds of slots were utilized. The ground plane has five distinct slot types: two inverted L-shaped and L-shaped slots, a U-shaped slot, a C-shaped slot, and an inverted U-shaped lot. To create a notched band for wireless high-speed communication applications, three slots are etched on the radiating patch element and two slots (two inverted L-shaped and L-shaped slots) are etched on the ground plane. This work presents a three-band, 32 × 28 × 1.6 mm3 square patch antenna with FR4 substrate and a dielectric constant of 4.4. To build and simulate the suggested structure, Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS) software was utilized. HFSS software was utilized to obtain the return loss, bandwidth, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), directivity, gain, and efficiency in this case.
