Review: The Routledge Handbook of CoFuturisms, by Taryne Jade Taylor, Isiah Lavender III, Grace L. Dillon, and Bodhisattva Chattopadhyay
Spatialities of Speculative Fiction is itself both a map and a counter-mapping of its subject matter. In addition to writing an insightful analysis of spatiality in speculative fiction, Eades handily demonstrates how lines connecting texts can be drawn to generate meaning and redrawn again to get around the limitations of earlier models.Sometimes his maps are not the easiest to follow-I must confess to more than a little time spent wandering through the wilderness of chapter twobut Eades presents some truly novel groupings of his source texts and conceptual ingenuity in how he connects them.Eades study reveals rewarding paths to follow through the worlds of speculative fiction and the tools we need to forge new ones.
