Solar PV-Integrated EV CCCV Charger with MPPT-FLC-ACO and Hybrid FLC-PI Controllers for Three-Phase G2V Applications
This study proposes a grid-integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) system for constant current and constant voltage (CC-CV) charging of electric vehicle (EV) batteries within a three-phase Grid-to-Vehicle (G2V) framework. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is achieved using a fuzzy logic controller optimized via ant colony optimization (FLC-ACO) for efficient PV power utilization. A hybrid PI-FLC controller manages grid power, where the FLC regulates the DC-link voltage, and the PI controller controls the d-q axis currents to maintain grid synchronization. Simulation results demonstrate the proposed system's superiority, achieving 97% MPPT efficiency, reducing overshoot by 7%, ensuring precise DC bus voltage regulation, and complying with grid standards with a near-unity power factor and a total harmonic current distortion (THDi) of 3.22%.
