Feedback strategy for 11-bit weight setting and phase control of Mach-Zehnder interferometers

A feedback strategy to control the output power and phase of Mach-Zehnder interferometers is presented. The strategy can set an arbitrary working point with >11 bit precision and stability for long-time operation. The use of in-line transparent sensors enables scalability for high-order meshes.

Abstract

A feedback strategy to control the output power and phase of Mach-Zehnder interferometers is presented. The strategy can set an arbitrary working point with >11 bit precision and stability for long-time operation. The use of in-line transparent sensors enables scalability for high-order meshes.
