Regulatory Requirements Integration for the Sustainable Innovation Classification

This study resolves the need for an integrated approach to integrate regulatory requirements for categorizing sustainable innovation, identifying the problems arising from the fragmentation of international standards. The aim is to overcome the gap between ISO 56000, ISO 9000, the ‘Frascati Family’ and other relevant standards by developing a unified approach to their integration, including their principles and tools. This study is not only important for expanding the traditional view of sustainable innovation classification and documentation set, but also offers practical solutions for enterprises engaged in innovation activities and interested in improving their sustainability. The article presents the classification of sustainable innovations, their difference from traditional innovations, as well as the scheme of relations between the regulatory requirements in the described area.
