Efficiency Analysis of Harmonic Suppression in the Inductive Power Filtration System of a Distribution Transformer

In this paper, the harmonic suppression characteristics of a novel induction filtering system designed for distribution transformers in low-voltage distribution networks are investigated. First, the features of traditional distribution transformer filtering systems in low-voltage networks were analyzed, and their limitations and drawbacks were identified. Subsequently, the harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation performance of the new induction filtering system were examined through a mathematical model. Finally, a simulation model was developed using MATLAB/Simulink software for comparative analysis. The study also explored the system's ability to suppress harmonics under abnormal operating conditions, such as transformer saturation caused by an unbalanced three-phase load. The results confirmed the system's advantages in low-voltage distribution network operating conditions.
