Measuring Hydrostatic Piezoelectric Voltage Coefficient of PVDF Films for Biomedical Applications

The paper presents a method for measuring gh on a measuring stand with an acoustic chamber in the form of a resonator pipe. The requirements for the acoustic chamber design are determined, a change in the distance from the sample to the sound pressure source is provided, which allows finding acoustic resonance at different frequencies. The measuring stand allows determining the gh coefficient in the range from 100 Hz to 1 kHz. The gh measurements were carried out in the range from 200 to 1000 Hz with a step of 200 Hz on a polarized ferroelectric PVDF film. The dependence of gh on the sound field pressure value regulated by the generator voltage swing is shown. Additionally, a verification calculation of gh was performed by changing the piezoelectric coefficients d31, d32, d33, and methods of their measurement were described. The obtained values are consistent with the literature data.
