Near-Wall Plasma Resonances of Longitudinal Waves
This paper discusses methods for diagnosing plasma in low-pressure thermonuclear facilities to determine the stability of the first wall to heat flows of non-uniform plasma. Such problems arise when creating plasma devices with high-temperature gas flows in boundary layers. In non-uniform near-wall layers, discrete spectra of wave modes are observed to determine the medium parameters. To process the Tonks-Dattner resonance spectra, a software module was developed that allows reconstructing the spatial distribution of electrons and tracking the dynamics of the near-wall plasma in real time. The module was used to determine the distributions in hydrogen, krypton and xenon plasma. The results confirm the high spatial resolution of diagnostics.
