Influence of Operating Parameters on Thermal Capacity of Closed Cooling Tower with Bundle of Finned Tubes
The study of thermal characteristics of closed-type cooling towers is of great importance in modern production of different industries. Efficient chilling of process water provides an optimization of energy costs and an improved overall performance of the equipment. In this paper, based on the developed calculation method for the chilling process in a closed-type cooling tower with a wetted finned tube bundle, its thermal capacity was studied. During the calculation, various mass flow rates of the wetting liquid were changed. It was determined that the peak thermal capacity is observed at the lowest temperature of the wetting liquid at the input to the sprinkler and the highest mass flow rate under study.
