Investigation of Interferometer Instability for a Fibre Wavelength Meter
This paper investigates the fundamental principle of wavelength measurement performed using different types of interferometers. This investigation encompasses both theoretical and practical aspects, with a focus on the instability of the Fizeau interferometer and Mach-Zehnder interferometer, which is utilized in fiber wavelength meters. Furthermore, numerical values of the temperature coefficient of linear expansion (CLTE), which characterizes optical fibers, were obtained as part of the experiments. The findings of these studies are of paramount importance in the pursuit of enhancing the precision and reliability of contemporary fiber optic systems.
