Creating ion-selective Electrodes for Determining the Concentration of ions in the Process Water of TPPs and NPPs Using Additive Technologies

This study focuses on developing a method to create ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) designed to measure the concentration of ions in the process water used at thermal power plants (TPPs) and nuclear power plants (NPPs). Different compositions suitable for various types of ions were explored to form an ion-exchange membrane. The technique for forming this ion-exchange membrane using additive manufacturing was examined, along with the development of a method to produce filaments for subsequent 3D printing. The developed process includes preparing raw materials, mixing components, and subsequent extrusion, enabling the production of threads with required characteristics. These threads were tested for compliance with parameters necessary for 3D printing, including size stability, structural uniformity, and mechanical properties.
