Microring Modulator-Based O-Band Coherent Transmission: 400-Gbps Net Rate per Polarization
We report the first demonstration of a net rate of 400 Gbps/λ/polarization O-band transmission using a microring-based coherent transmitter in 16-QAM at 120 GB, achieving a record bandwidth density of 4 Tbps/mm. We also achieved QPSK up to 160 GB back-to-back and 100 GB QPSK over 7 km.
