High-Speed Silicon-Conductive Oxide Microring Modulator Array with Thermal-Free Wavelength Control

We demonstrated a 1×4 titanium-doped indium oxide-gated MOSCAP silicon microring modulator array, utilizing DC gate bias tuning without thermal heaters for wavelength control. It achieved high-speed data rates of 25 Gb/s, maintaining equally spaced wavelengths with extremely low power consumption in the pW/nm range.

Abstract

We demonstrated a 1×4 titanium-doped indium oxide-gated MOSCAP silicon microring modulator array, utilizing DC gate bias tuning without thermal heaters for wavelength control. It achieved high-speed data rates of 25 Gb/s, maintaining equally spaced wavelengths with extremely low power consumption in the pW/nm range.
