Inverse Design of Bragg Grating Filters Using a Hybrid Optimization Algorithm

We propose a hybrid optimization algorithm to inversely design silicon Bragg grating filters. By optimizing the coupling coefficient profile, we achieve a narrow-band Bragg grating filter with a 3-dB bandwidth of 2 nm and a high sidelobe suppression ratio (SLSR) of 19 dB.

Abstract

We propose a hybrid optimization algorithm to inversely design silicon Bragg grating filters. By optimizing the coupling coefficient profile, we achieve a narrow-band Bragg grating filter with a 3-dB bandwidth of 2 nm and a high sidelobe suppression ratio (SLSR) of 19 dB.
