Comparative Analysis of Zeta and Luo Converters for Bidirectional Power Flow in Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Grid-to-Vehicle (G2V) Systems
The research presents V2G and G2V bidirectional charging of electrical automobiles using a Zeta for the optimization of energy efficiency towards the grid. The offered configuration of the Zeta-based converter provides stable regulated dc voltage, thus mitigating the fluctuations in automobile-battery voltage during both supply phases, namely charging and also charging. In V2G mode it realizes efficient DC-AC invert-conversion for compatibility for interaction with the grid during conversion, while in its respective G2V case ac-dc conversion finds vehicle charging. This design will enhance the flexibility of grids as EVs can be used as mobile energy storage and aid in peak load management and renewable energy integration. The work compares the performance of the Zeta converter with that of the Luo converter, which shows its greater capability to manage energy transfer effectively and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.
