Modern Approaches to Extraction Text Data From Documents: Review, Analysis and Practical Implementation

The paper presents an analysis of modern methods and tools for extracting text from documents in docx, pptx, and pdf formats, as well as images with text that require the use of OCR technologies. A comparative analysis of performance, accuracy, preservation of data structure and other key characteristics of the tools is carried out. The Churchman-Akoff method is used to systematize and select optimal tools. The most effective tools for each data format are identified, and recommendations for their use are given. The results of the study can be applied in tasks of further processing, systematization and supplementation of extracted data, which opens up prospects for automating the processes of working with large volumes of information and their integration into analytical systems.
