Phototherapeutic Technologies and Devices Based on Pulsed Xenon Lamps
The fundamental principles of phototherapeutic technologies based on the employment of high-intensity, pulsed, broad-spectrum optical radiation are considered. As radiation sources in devices implementing these medical technologies, it is proposed to use pulsed xenon lamps. The creation of devices of high-intensity optical irradiation for pulsed broad-spectrum phototherapy of wounds is reported. The results of preclinical studies of the therapeutic effectiveness of the developed devices and comparison with the effectiveness of wound treatment by conventional methods using traditional UV radiation sources, such as mercury lamps and LEDs, as well as approved pharmaceutical products, are presented.
