Evaluation of Renewable Energy Resources Potential for Elimination Electricity Shortage

In the ensuing exposition, a potential expeditious remedy for the predicament of energy scarcity is posited, namely the utilization of renewable energy sources. The paper presents a methodology for determining the optimal placement of renewable energy facilities along power transmission lines, with the objective of ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to the broader network. This methodology is predicated on the calculation of the correlation between irradiation and potential generation by a wind power plant. The proposed method is considered on example of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts of the Russian Federation with a shortage of electric energy. The potential of solar and wind generation in the selected locations of facilities and the values of the eliminated energy deficit are estimated.
