Automatic Generation of Optimal Standard-Size Series of Engineering Products Using Modified Method For Calculating Total Cost of Ownership

In order to create and re-equip modern production facilities, it is necessary, based on long-term technical and economic forecasting, to form an appropriate mathematical model that takes into account, among other things, the existing classifications of metal-cutting machines and the parts processed on them. Metal-cutting machines are currently multi-component structures with complex interrelations of their constituent elements. The variety of machines is great, they differ in their layouts, functions and sizes, but they are united by a common property: any machine can be considered as a system consisting of many ordered and metrically connected structural elements that are in certain functional interactions. In general, a mathematical model of any machine can be built using the so-called specific weight function, reflecting the structure of the standard-size series of machines and taking into account the cost characteristics of the specified machine series during their life cycle.
