Smart Sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) based Bike Parking System
The Smart Bike Parking System is an automated parking solution that uses Arduino Uno and active infrared sensors to manage bike parking properly. The system detects entering cars using an entry IR sensor, which triggers a servomotor-controlled gate that allows admission. Once the vehicle enters, another infrared sensor guarantees the gate closes automatically. 20x4 LCDs the allotted parking slot, while a voice module gives users real-time directions to their assigned spot and announces the availability of parking spaces. Each parking space is equipped with an infrared sensor to check occupancy status. When a vehicle leaves a slot, the system updates the availability automatically. If all spaces are complete, the LCD shows a "Parking Full" message, and the speech module alerts users to the full occupancy status. The system works without a smartphone app, depending exclusively on the LCD and speech module to communicate. This innovative parking solution improves efficiency and user experience by automating slot distribution and offering voice-assisted navigation and updates in the parking lot.
