Analysis of the Operation of the Arc-Fault Detection Device (AFCI) on an Experimental Stand Simulating Real Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment
This paper examines the main causes of fires in the residential sector due to electrical equipment, as well as methods of protecting household electrical installations from various emergency situations. Statistics show an increase in the number of fires caused by electrical failures in residential buildings. The process of arc breakdown formation is considered. An empirical assessment is made of the feasibility of installing an Arc-Fault Detection Device (AFCI) to protect low-voltage electrical equipment from fires due to sequential arc breakdown. An analysis of the feasibility of installing an Arc-Fault Detection Device.
