Quantitative Assessment of Particular Reliability Indicators of PACS Under Computer Attacks Using the Fault Tree Method

The article is devoted to the development of a method for quantitative assessment of particular indicators of the functional reliability of intelligent electronic devices for protection automation and control systems (IED PACS), based on the application of the “fault tree” method, characterized by the possibility of assessing the impact of computer attacks on the availability factor and average undersupply of electricity, using expert methods for assessing the occurrence of a probable dangerous event. The developed method can be used at several stages of the life cycle of the PACS subsystem and IEDPACS, namely at the stages of creation (modernization) and operation.
