Enhanced Hybrid Bidirectional DC-DC Converter with High Conversion Ratio for Advanced Electric Vehicle System

The main challenge in electric vehicle (EV) systems is high voltage conversion ratios and efficient power management, considering varying voltage demands between batteries and motor control units. A new bidirectional DC-DC converter is proposed with an integrated quadratic and switched-capacitor topologies hybrid structure. The system ensures low voltage stress on semiconductor components, hence reliability and efficiency are enhanced with continuous current flow on the low-voltage side. The design utilizes synchronous rectification to reduce power losses, especially during high-load conditions, to meet the stringent demands of EV systems. It supports stable operation under dynamic conditions such as acceleration and regenerative braking. This means flexible, high-performance power conversion would be created with this possibility of efficient power transfer handling and system stability maintenance, ensuring compatibility with different electric vehicle power requirements through innovation in hybrid structure design towards a reliable, efficient modern electric mobility solution.
