Effect of Core/shell/shell Semiconductor Nanocrystals on Optical Properties of Polymer Membranes
An optical element consisting of semiconductor colloidal nanocrystals CdSe/CdS/ZnS and membrane Nafion (N117) was studied in this work. The Nafion membrane was used as a matrix to populate nanocrystals on its surface, and toluene as a means of suspending the embedded particles. The settlement of particles into the Nafion was carried out by soaking it in this solution. The kinetics of the settlement of nanoparticles was established using radiative absorption spectroscopy. It was also found that additional luminescence lines appear in the membrane containing nanocrystals. The intensity of the luminescence spectrum of the membrane with nanocrystals is greater than that of the original membrane. When excitation of the membrane luminescence spectrum from a laser with a wavelength of 369 nm, it was found that for the membrane with embedded nanocrystals, a spectral line appears at a wavelength of 627 nm, the intensity of which depends on the position of the laser beam relative to the membrane. At tangential incidence, the intensity of the luminescence line at the wavelength of 627 nm is greater than at normal incidence.
