Buck-Boost Converter-based Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehicles (EV) with Fast Charging Method

As electric cars (EVs) gain popularity, there is a greater need for better charging systems that balance consumer convenience and economy. EMF induction is used in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT), a new method of EV charging, to move power from a transmitter to a receiver. While WPT improves convenience and avoids mechanical wear, there are still obstacles in obtaining high power transfer efficiency and fast charging. To solve these issues, this article investigates the addition of a Buck-Boost Converter to the receiver side of a WPT-based EV charging system. The Buck-Boost Converter regulates voltage by stepping it up or down as appropriate, guaranteeing consistent and efficient charging even when power transfer varies due to misalignment, distance changes, and transmission efficiency fluctuations. This technique improves energy conversion, system dependability, and quick charging capabilities, making WPT a more realistic option for next-generation EV infrastructure.
