Analysis of PFC control strategy of voltage stabilizer based on low voltage treatment
This study addresses the issue of low voltage in rural power grids by proposing a front-end Boost PFC (Power Factor Correction) rectifier with a voltage-doubling structure for a voltage stabilizer. The voltage stabilizer employs two control strategies—average current control and hysteresis current control—to achieve a stable DC bus voltage and high power factor. Through Matlab/Simulink simulations, the study compares various target parameters under these two control strategies. The results indicate that the average current control achieves a lower THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) value of $\mathbf{3. 2 0 \%}$, compared to $4.46 \%$ with hysteresis current control, while both strategies reach a high power factor ($\mathrm{PF}=\mathbf{0. 9 9}$).
