Using the Heat of Data Center Equipment in the Heat Supply Systems

The power consumption of computing equipment in data centers continues to grow every year. Along with the increase in electricity consumption, the amount of heat generated, which is released into the atmosphere by air conditioning systems, is also rising. The goal is to utilize this heat effectively, using the example of hot water supply in residential buildings. This study evaluates the operation of a refrigeration machine and hot water supply system, as well as the system's performance in partial and full water heating modes. The operation of the refrigerant circuit and the heat required for water heating were assessed. The study found that implementing such a system can reduce overall fuel consumption. It was also determined that the system achieves maximum efficiency when water is fully heated.
