Development of a Program for Processing MPIV Measuruments

The paper is devoted to the development of program with a graphical interface for processing images obtained by the method of multicolor particle image velocimetry (MPIV). The multicolor particle image velocimetry is a modern modification of the particle image velocimetry (PIV). It involves using three laser planes corresponding to red, green and blue as probing radiation. This makes it possible to measure the flow velocity distribution simultaneously in three planes. The paper describes the main features of the practical implementation of the MPIV and the measurement methodology. An algorithm for processing the measurement results has been formulated and a program with a graphical interface has been developed based on it, which makes it possible to restore the flow velocity field in the areas enclosed between the laser planes. The results of testing the program on simulated MPIV images are presented.
