EMT Modeling Method for SVG Considering Transient and Steady-State Consistency Verification

This paper proposes a precise modeling method for Static VAR Generators (SVG) configured in renewable energy stations, taking into account the consistency verification of transient and steady-state conditions. Firstly, the power circuit of mainstream SVG in renewable energy stations is introduced, which is the prerequisite for constructing the electromagnetic transient model of SVG. Then, the typical control structure of SVG is presented, which forms the basis for building the electromagnetic transient model. Subsequently, a parameter identification method for the electromagnetic transient model is proposed, including both steady-state and transient parameter identification methods. Finally, the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed SVG electromagnetic transient modeling method are demonstrated through model verification in both steady-state and transient dimensions.
