Study on the Influencing Factors of Carbon Emission Reduction in China in the Context of Globalization
Against the backdrop of global climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy, carbon emission reduction has become a core issue for countries to realize sustainable development. Globalization has brought advanced carbon emission reduction experience to China, which has effectively enhanced China’s carbon emission reduction efficiency. Based on the background of globalization, this paper analyzes in depth the main influencing factors of carbon emission in China, including industrial structure, power generation structure and the guiding role of the government. The study shows that optimization of industrial structure and cleaner power generation structure are the key paths to promote carbon emission reduction, while the government’s policy guidance plays an indispensable role in the low-carbon transition. In order to further enhance the effect of carbon emission reduction, this paper puts forward three suggestions: first, accelerate the industrial structure adjustment and promote the transformation and upgrading of high-energy-consuming industries; second, optimize the power generation structure and increase the proportion of clean energy; and third, strengthen the government’s guiding and supervisory efforts to ensure the effective.
