Algorithm Development and Research for Processing Measurements in a Bluetooth-Based Local Positioning Radio System
This paper is concentrated on investigation of a local positioning radio system based on Bluetooth standard signals. In 2019, the Bluetooth SIG group released a new specification of the Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 standard, in which the signal structure was supplemented with a special CTE (Constant Tone Extension) package to determine the angle of signal arrival. This event marked the tendency of Bluetooth standard to develop in the field of local positioning. This paper will demonstrate the implementation of primary and secondary signal processing units. The MUSIC super-resolution algorithm will be used as the angle of arrival estimation algorithm and the linear Kalman filter will be used as the consumer's coordinates estimation algorithm.
