A BCM Soft Switching Method with Fixed Switching Frequency for Three-level T-type Inverter
The three-level T-type inverter is widely used in renewable energy generation applications due to its excellent performance. In order to achieve higher efficiency, the T-type inverter can be controlled to operate in boundary conduction mode (BCM), thereby achieving soft switching to reduce switching losses. However, this approach requires continuous variations in switching frequency, resulting in a complex control strategy and challenges in filter design. This paper proposes a BCM soft switching method with a fixed switching frequency for a threelevel T-type inverter, which enables the inverter to achieve soft switching under pulse width modulation (PWM). The feasibility of the proposed method is verified through simulations of a gridconnected T-type inverter.
