Advanced High Gain Step-up Converter for Efficient Integration of Renewable Sources

The importance of renewable energy lies in its potential to provide a sustainable, clean, and secure energy future. It addresses urgent environmental challenges, reduces our dependence on finite fossil fuel resources, stimulates economic growth, improves public health, and fosters innovation. High-gain converters become inevitable circuit in renewable energy systems to improve voltage conversion efficiency, reducing system complexity, and enabling better integration with energy storage and grid connection systems. But higher duty ratio is not practically feasible due to additional components. To overcome this limitation, this work proposes a non-isolated high-gain DC– DC converter in which the high duty ratio is shared by the switches. Hence, the efficiency can be enhanced. The voltage gain is observed as 18 for the applied voltage of 30 V at the switching frequency 50 kHz.
